President - Cindy Crisler, RDH
Cindy Crisler graduated from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi in 1978. She has worked for Dr. Phillip Hinson, the Best Boss in the World, since graduation! She has been an active member of the Texas Dental Hygienists' Association and Greater Fort Worth Dental Hygienists' Society since becoming a dental hygienist. She has held a variety of state and local Offices such as TDHA Corporate Relations Chair, TDHA Student Affairs Council Chair, Greater Fort Worth Dental Hygienists' Society Trustee, Treasurer, and Professional Education Chair. She is currently serving as the Greater Fort Worth President. Cindy has also been a member of the Dental Hygiene Advisory Committee in 1979 -1982 and 1984 - 1986.
Cindy along with her husband John of 7 years are also active with volunteering for Adam Smith's Texas Harley Davidson. She serves as Director of Ladies of Harley and John is an instructor in Riders Edge.
President Elect - Cindie Pierce, RDH
Cindie has been practicing dental hygiene for over twenty years. She has had the opportunity to work in private practice for 12 years in four offices: in McAllen, Dripping Springs, a great group practice in Austin, and Fort Worth.
Cindie has had the opportunity to serve on the state and local levels in several areas. With positions on many councils, as well as the president position, just to list a few: membership, student affairs council, annual sessions council, governmental affairs council.
An active member in her church, she enjoys reading scriptures on Sunday's, teaching children in grades 2-5, and assisting in vacation bible school. In her free time, Cindie enjoys reading, sewing, cross stitching, and spending time with my family and friends.
Cindie has been married for over 25 years to Tim, a great husband who understands what it means to be involved in your profession. He supports Cindie's decisions to be active in her association. Together they have one daughter, Kaitlyn, who is in her first year at Oklahoma State University, studying Animal Science. They have opened their doors and hosted 3 wonderful exchange students and feel they have added three more daughters to their family. They have become a permanent part of the family. They both love attending both high school and college football games.
1st Vice President - Lee Goodloe, RDH, BSDH
Lee is a proud alumnus of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center holding Bachelor’s of Science degrees in biology and dental hygiene respectively. While at UTHSC he served as: President of SCADHA, Vice President of Allied Health Student Government Association, President of the Black Student Association and received numerous awards for leadership and community involvement. He was also the first African-American male to graduate from the dental hygiene program at UTHSC.
As a professional member his commitment to ADHA has not wavered. He has served as Chairman of the Institute for Oral Health, mentor to graduating students and delegate for the past four years. He is honored to serve as President of DDHS the first African-American male to do so. Lee was also one of 40 applicants selected to the ADHA Unleashing Your Potential class of 2016.
Lee has practiced dental hygiene for five years, serving in capacities ranging from clinical and didactic dental hygiene instructor and SCADHA advisor to clinical dental hygienists working in employment settings that range from private practice to the DSO. In addition to his hygiene career he is a founding board member of Seeds to STEM, a nonprofit organization that serves as a conduit to delivering manipulative based curriculum in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math to underserved communities. As the board Operations Manager, he has created alliances with other nonprofit organizations and conducted business agreements with community stakeholders for the past five years.
On a personal note, Lee has two beautiful daughters and he is expecting to marry his lovely fiancée this summer.
2nd Vice President - Marianne Tachjman, RDH, MS
Marian Tajchman, RDH, MS has 40 years’ experience as a dental hygienist. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Dental Hygiene at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi where she taught as an adjunct instructor in the Dental Hygiene program for 10 years, a full-time Assistant Instructor for two years and presently tenured track instructor for eight years. She received her Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1976 from Del Mar College, a Bachelors of Science degree in Occupational Education in 1979 from Corpus Christi State University, and a Masters of Science degree in 2008 from Texas A&M University/Corpus Christi. She has been very active in the Corpus Christi District Dental Hygiene Society serving as president, secretary, and currently, treasurer, membership chair and continuing education chair. She has served as her component’s delegate or trustee for the last 13 years. She has served on the TDHA membership committee, education committee and as the State Education Network liaison for ADHA.
Secretary/Treasurer - Chrizselda Luna, RDH
Chriszelda is born and raised is Houston Texas, yeehaw!! She is married to Rick that has blessed her with two awesome children. She also has two beautiful granddaughters and pretty much has a zoo at home. Is graduated from UTHSC in 2009 and has been an unstoppable force since! Served as VP for BADHS for 2 years then President for the past 4 years. She has sacrificed the next two years of her life to serve as TDHA Secretary/Treasurer, and is looking forward to it!
Immediate Past President - Lynda Bean, RDH, BSDH
Lynda Bean has served on the Texas Dental Hygienists' Association Board as the Central Texas Trustee and Governmental Affairs Co-Chair prior to being elected as President Elect. At the local component level, Lynda currently serves as the president of the Central Texas Dental Hygienists' Society. She received an Associate's in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Amarillo College in 1988 and graduated summa cum laude from Oregon Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2012. She is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon and Phi Theta Kappa honor societies. She was honored to be included in the ADHA Unleashing Your Potential class of 2013. Lynda is an adjunct instructor in the Dental Hygiene department at Temple College where she teaches Dental Radiography, Dental Hygiene Practice, and is a clinical instructor in the first year clinics. In addition to her dental hygiene career, Lynda also serves as CFO/partner for Wilbea Medical Equipment. Lynda and her husband, Richard, have three grown sons and a beautiful daughter in law.
Speaker of the House - Denise Frank, RDH, BSDH
Denise will be Speaker of the House at the 2018 TDHA Annual Session. She served as Speaker of the House in 2016, TDHA First Vice-President from 2011-2014 and has held numerous other positions at the state and local level. Denise graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry – Caruth School of Dental Hygiene with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2002 and has lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area her entire life. She has been an ADHA member since 2000.
